Hey, Ward:

I have a silver suit I really like but can’t quite figure out in which season I should be wearing it. It’s shiny and bright, but I’ve been told it’s still meant for winter. What gives?

Why choose? You probably have a navy blue suit you wear year round. Tom Ford wears black suits no mater if it’s summertime or not. Sometimes it’s not about the suit as much as what you wear with it. A  white shirt with a jet black tie and black shoes will definitely give that suit a wintery, festive look. Now pair it with pastel shirts and light brown shoes and you’re ready for a rooftop bar in June. Silver is tricky because the grey in it makes us think cold and overcast. A bright coloured shirt and tie will bring out the whites and have you thinking blue skies are ahead.
