Take a dip in icy-cold waters at the Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo is hosting its very first Polar Dip where participants will have the chance to “dip” into icy-cold waters to raise awareness for polar species conservation. The polar dip will be taking place on Saturday March 2 from 9:30-11:30 am outside the Zoo’s Wildlife Health Centre Viewing Gallery in their dip tank. There is a $100 registration fee required to participate, the fee will go towards raising funds to support conservation of polar bears at the Toronto Zoo and in the wild. They will also be hosting a “post-splash bash” in their warm-up station at the climate-controlled Special Events Centre where visitors will get a chance to meet their polar bear keepers, hear their stories, and find out what the zoo is doing to help these animals. There will be other fun and educational activities available including a silent auction.
